HEAD OF INTEGRATED PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

(Agronomy & Production Manager – Crops, Poultry & Integrated Systems)

Role Purpose

To lead and optimise end-to-end agricultural production systems across crops, poultry, and integrated
operations—ensuring consistent yields, quality compliance, and reliable weekly supply.

Key Responsibilities

Crop Production & Irrigation

• Plan and execute multi-cycle production (irrigated and rainfed)
• Deliver yield targets and pack-out ≥85%
• Implement GAP and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
• Oversee irrigation systems and field operations

Poultry & Livestock Systems

• Manage layer operations (up to 10,000 birds)
• Monitor FCR, mortality rates, and egg production
• Maintain strict biosecurity protocols

Production Planning & Coordination

• Align production with market demand and offtake contracts
• Deliver weekly production forecasts and harvest schedules

Quality, Compliance & Traceability

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GAP, FDA, and GSA standards
• Maintain QA pass rates ≥97%
• Enforce traceability and residue monitoring systems

Team Leadership

• Supervise agronomists, field staff, and labour teams
• Lead training for staff and outgrowers

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, HND, Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Animal Science or related
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in commercial agriculture
• Proven experience in irrigated farming and poultry systems

Success Metrics

• Yield improvement (≥20% YoY)
• QA pass rate ≥97%
• Production losses ≤1%
• Reliable weekly supply (zero stock-outs)
